Dead lizards?

Skinks are in fact a type of lizard, but does that really matter when they're dead? DeadSkinks.com is the home of a loose collection of audio-based interests, linked by a common goal- empowering musicians, composers, perfomers, and producers to maximize not just their creative output, but the enjoyment they experience in the act of creation itself.

Facets of Skink-ness

5 Dead Skinks - the band and its "music"

Visit the story page to read about the "band" that started all of this. You'll also find links to samples of some Skink-tunes (as it were) there.

Dead Skink Audio

It didn't take long for the band to figure out that very little musical equipment on the market these days is aimed at expired lizards. By which we aren't actually referring to their lack of opposable thumbs, but the prices associated with high-quality custom-made amplification and effects products for the discerning guitar or bass player (such prices being an issue no matter the species or current state of life). Dead Skink Audio is our attempt to offer an alternative.

Dead Skink Records

So, with the band all formed and new gear at their disposal, how long do you think it took to figure out that traditional record labels are not looking to flesh out their rosters with expired reptiles? Dead Skink Records takes a different approach to the "business" of making records (species-ism issues aside). Think of us as more of an artist's collective than a traditional label.
